Technical Presentation

The Nikea indoor hall is located to the southwest of Athens. During the Olympic Games of 2004, the venue hosted the weightlifting competitions. The venue is fully equipped for holding sport and cultural events and offers superior acoustics and flexibility. The venue has hosted music festivals, conferences, exhibitions, and has been the location for television advertisements.


Access:

The venue is accessible by automobiles via Acropoleos street. Additionally, several bus lines pass from the complex.

The venue has a central arena of 1.200 sq. m. and 5.000 seats, two auxiliary halls comprising 2 warm-up rooms (12m x 40m), 6 training halls (4 halls of 10m x 15m and 2 halls of 18m x 20m). The venue offers 385 outdoor parking spaces. 

Uses:

In addition to the uses provided for during the period of the Olympic Games, pursuant to Article 17 of Law 3342/2005 (Government Gazette Issue No. 131/A/6-6-2005), the following uses are also permitted:

  • Cultural activities, festivals, concerts

  • Shops, restaurants

  • Offices, health services rooms

  • Hostels

  • Training center
