
The Olympic equestrian centre located in Markopoulo, a rapidly developing area of Eastern Attica, housed the Jumping, Dressage and the Eventing competitions during the Olympic Games of 2004.
Access:
The centre can be accessed via automobile by the Attiki Odos ring road or Lavriou Avenue.

The venue consists of the following areas
- Main Cross Country Course which has a length of 5.850m and a total surface area of approximately 420.000 sq. m. The course includes obstacles as well as an artificial lake with a volume of 10.000 m3.
- Main Jumping Arena of 9.625 sq. m. with a capacity of 6.000 seats
- Main Dressage Arena of 4.050 sq. m. with a capacity of 8.000 seats
- Main Indoor Arena of 5.175 sq. m. with a capacity of 1.116 seats
- Race-track Stables Buildings which are divided into two complexes of 32 units (52 horses each)
- Supporting halls / Areas
Uses:
In addition to the uses provided for during the period of the Olympic Games, pursuant to Article 26 of Law 3342/2005 (Government Gazette Issue No. 131/A/6-6-2005), the following uses are also permitted:
- Golf Course
- Equestrian Museum
- Park with the capacity to host the Cross Country
- Equestrian Academies
- Shops that sell items related to the operation of the equestrian centre
- Exhibitions
- Gathering Areas
- Hotel
- Heliport
- Recreational horse riding
