During the Olympic Games the Goudi complex hosted, the Modern Pentathlon and Badminton competitions. The venue is presently comprised of a new covered arena (Badminton arena), the restored Equestrian Centre, as well as two outdoor arenas. Located within one of Athens’ largest green spaces, the site offers an outstanding setting for the city’s most ambitious cultural events.
Within this context, the first international tender for the post-Olympic development of the Olympic venues, succesfully led to the creation of "Badminton Theatre".
Accomodating the need and lack of the capital in new, large, high-quality cultural spaces, the venue's management, passed on to the “Athens Badminton Cultural Development SA” (ABCD).
The company, synergy of five successful businessmen with great experience in the entertainment field: Michail and Vanessa Adam from Arts Dance and Music Productions (ADaM), George and Panagiotis Georgas from Half Note Jazz Club and Dimitris Kontogiannis from Allou Fun Park, undertook the total reformation and management of this Olympic Venue, delivering an outstanding performing arts centre.
